Generators & Security
Create passwords, UUIDs, ULIDs and HMAC signatures.
What are Generators & Security?
Generators create values that are hard to guess or guaranteed to be unique, such as passwords and identifiers. Doing it with a tool is safer than inventing them by hand.
What you will find in Generators & Security
Includes a password generator, a UUID generator (versions 1, 3, 4 and 5), a ULID generator, an HMAC generator and a hash generator for MD5 and the SHA family.
How to use these tools
- Pick a generator.
- Set the options, such as length or version.
- Copy the generated value.
Did you know?
- Length matters most for passwords: every extra character multiplies the number of possible passwords.
- HMAC is defined in RFC 2104 and is widely used to sign API requests and verify webhooks.
