What is Calculator?

A calculator performs arithmetic on numbers. This one works with expressions, so you can enter a whole calculation, including brackets, before reading the answer.

What this tool does

Lets you build an expression with the on-screen keys and shows the result as you go. It supports addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and brackets.

How to use it

  1. Press the number and operator keys to build your calculation.
  2. Read the result shown below the expression.
  3. Use the arrow key to delete the last character and C to clear everything.

Did you know?

  • Multiplication and division are done before addition and subtraction, and brackets are done first. This is the order of operations, known as PEMDAS or BODMAS.
  • The expression 2 + 3 * 4 equals 14, not 20, because the multiplication happens first.
