What is Favicon Generator?

A favicon is the small icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and search results. Websites also need larger icons for phones and home screens.

What this tool does

Takes your image and makes square icons at 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels, plus a favicon.ico that contains the 16, 32 and 48 pixel sizes. It also gives you the HTML tags to add to your pages. Everything happens in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Add your logo or picture. A square image works best.
  2. Choose whether to crop it or keep the whole image.
  3. Download the icons you need and paste the HTML into your pages.
