What is ULID Generator?
A ULID is a Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifier. It is a 26-character ID that is unique like a UUID but also sorts in order of creation.
Developers use ULIDs as database keys when they want new records to be unique and to stay roughly in time order.
What this tool does
Generates one or more ULIDs and shows them either as plain text, one per line, or as a JSON array.
How to use it
- Choose how many ULIDs you want.
- Choose raw text or JSON as the output format.
- Copy the generated values.
Did you know?
- A ULID holds a 48-bit timestamp in milliseconds followed by 80 bits of randomness.
- It is written in Crockford's Base32, which skips the letters I, L, O and U to avoid confusion with numbers and accidental words.
- ULIDs are case-insensitive and URL-safe.
