URL Encode
Encodes text so it can be used safely inside a web address: spaces, accents and symbols become %XX codes.

What is URL Encode?
A web address can only contain a limited set of characters. Anything else, such as a space, an accent or an ampersand, has to be replaced by a percent sign followed by two hexadecimal digits. This is called URL encoding or percent-encoding.
Developers use it when putting text into query strings and links.
What this tool does
Encodes your text with percent codes, so characters like spaces, &, = and accented letters are safe to place inside a URL.
How to use it
- Type or paste the text to encode.
- Leave Auto ticked, or press URL Encode.
- Copy the encoded text into your link.
Did you know?
- A space becomes %20, and the euro sign becomes %E2%82%AC because characters outside basic ASCII are first turned into UTF-8 bytes.
- The rules for which characters are safe are set out in RFC 3986.
