What is Text to Hex Converter?
Hexadecimal, or hex, writes each byte of data as two characters from 0 to 9 and A to F. Developers use it to look at the raw bytes of text and files.
What this tool does
In text mode it turns your text into UTF-8 bytes and shows each byte as two hex digits. In hex mode it reads hex digits (spaces, commas and 0x prefixes are ignored) and turns them back into text.
How to use it
- Choose text to hex or hex to text.
- Paste your input.
- Copy the result.
Did you know?
- The letter A is 41 in hex, and a space is 20.
- Characters outside basic English, such as รฉ or โฌ, take two to four bytes in UTF-8, so they show up as several hex pairs.
