What is VAT and GST Calculator?
VAT (value added tax) and GST (goods and services tax) are sales taxes added to the price of most goods and services. Businesses often need to move between prices with and without tax.
What this tool does
Takes an amount and a tax rate. If the amount does not include tax it adds the tax. If it does include tax it works backwards to find the price before tax and the tax part.

Did you know?
- To remove a 20 percent tax you divide by 1.2, not subtract 20 percent.
