What is Extract Numbers from Text?

Numbers are often buried inside sentences, reports and logs. Pulling them out into a list makes them easy to add up, sort or paste into a spreadsheet.

What this tool does

Scans your text and lists each number it finds on its own line. It understands decimals such as 12.50 and negative numbers such as -4.

How to use it

  1. Paste your text.
  2. Read the numbers in the result box.
  3. Copy them, or paste them into the Sum Calculator.

Did you know?

  • Thousands separators such as 1,000 are read as two numbers, 1 and 000, so remove them first if you need the full value.
  • Digits inside words, such as the 3 in abc3, are listed as numbers too.
