Matrix Transposer

Transpose a matrix of any number of rows and columns (separated by space or comma)

What is Matrix Transposer?

A matrix is a grid of numbers arranged in rows and columns. The transpose of a matrix is a new matrix in which the rows become columns and the columns become rows.

What this tool does

Reads your matrix, with one row per line and values separated by spaces or commas, and shows its transpose.

How to use it

  1. Enter the matrix with one row on each line.
  2. Separate the numbers in a row with spaces or commas.
  3. Read the transposed matrix.

Did you know?

  • A matrix with 2 rows and 3 columns becomes a matrix with 3 rows and 2 columns.
  • Transposing twice gives back the original matrix.
  • Transposes are used throughout linear algebra, graphics and data science.
