What is Add or Subtract Days from a Date?

It is often useful to know what date it will be in 90 days, or what date it was six weeks ago, for deadlines, warranties, contracts and trips.

What this tool does

Takes a start date, an amount and a unit and shows the new date with its weekday. When you add months to a date like 31 January, the result stays in range and lands on the last day of the shorter month.

How to use it

  1. Pick the start date, or leave it empty for today.
  2. Choose add or subtract and enter the amount and unit.
  3. Read the new date.

Did you know?

  • Adding one month to 31 January gives 28 February (29 in a leap year) because February has no 31st.
  • The tool counts calendar days, so it does not skip weekends or holidays.
